As if sleepless nights weren’t enough matan had to endure the embarrassment of spending another day in the Inn whilst being gagged in the presence everyone whilst his fate was discussed. His Mistress is teaching him a lesson he will never forget and matan is extremely greatful to still be permitted to kneel at Her side during this difficult time. jewel had to leave early and he missed her calming presence very much.
But at least he ws lucky enough to witness the collaring ceremony of the newest slave to join the Inn, the lovely karissa, although her branding did make him wince more than once.
The thought of his being sold and having to leave the Inn continues to weigh heavily on his mind and he as he lies curled up on the floor of his kennel the awful realisation of his what his fate might be causes him to sob himself to sleep as he rests his head on his arms, his wrists unintentionally crossed.
